In April 2012, IHI have delivered ERAWAN 2 to Erawan 2 FSO Bahamas Ltd. The giant FSO is 262 meters in length, 46 meters wide, 24 meters deep, and has 1,080,000 barrel capacity. ERAWAN 2 was specially designed for optimal operation in the Gulf of Thailand, incorporating a dedicated prayer room for the faith of Thailand people. The word ERAWAN is the Thai Language name of a three-headed elephant of the gods . IHI not only delivers FSO of high engineering quality, but also considers design that integrates the cultural elements of the user to its FSO.
