IHI Group’s Vision for Society
The IHI Group (hereinafter, “IHI”) has signed the United Nations Global Compact, an initiative to build a sound, global society, and was registered as its participating company on February 6, 2022. In addition, IHI joined the Global Compact Network Japan, a local network in Japan.
Based on IHI’s corporate philosophies of “Contributing to the development of society through technology” and “Human resources are our single most valuable asset”, IHI aims to realize a sustainable society by addressing various social issues through business. To achieve this goal, IHI considers “Human rights” and “Diversity and inclusion” as material issues and are conducting ESG management to secure and maintain stakeholder trust.
The ten principles of the United Nations Global Compact in four areas (“Human rights”, “Labour”, “Environment”, and “Anti-corruption”) are consistent with IHI’s Management Philosophy and ESG management. IHI affirms and will strive to realize these ten principles.
